Module 4

Full Length
I put them in this specific spot because I like the light that was coming from outside and that it didn't hit them directly but it was still there.

3/4 Length
The reason I made them go on their knees is because I would think of our knees being 3/4 of our bodies.

Head and Shoulders
For the head and shoulders we chose to take the picture in front of a plain door so we wouldn't get any people passing by or so we wouldn't get a weird pattern on the back of our picture.

Face
We took these pictures outside for the natural light that'd be on their face. The background was just a simple wall that looked pretty as a background.

Crop vs. Zoom

For these pictures I just took one normal one and then told them to not moved and than just zoomed in and took the same picture with just a small difference. The background for both of them was a simple background that I liked because it was two plain walls that were split and I liked how it looked.

Portrait (Vertical) vs. Lanscape (Horizontal)
For the portraits I let them do whatever they wanted and just took the picture and if I liked it I would keep it. For the landscape I just went up to the two fields we have and went into one of the corners to try and get it all and crouching down to get a better view.

Permission instead of Forgiveness
For the forgiveness one I tried to make it seem that I was taking the picture of them walking away without them knowing and then asking them if I could use it. For the permission one I asked them if I could take the picture and than getting them to pose.

Exposure Under vs. Over
For both of the over exposure pictures none of them were planned but they came out over exposed on the face. The under exposed one the first under exposed didn't work like I wanted it to work but then for the second under exposed picture I looked at the sun thinking that if I locked the brightness of that, that it would come over exposed but it actually did the opposite.

Cool Temperature vs. Warm Temperature
For the cool pictures I made them go in the shadow as because it would be cold. For the warm pictures I took a picture while they were in the sun like it was warm.

Colour vs. B&W
For the colour picture I made them pose and then I just took the picture without any filters and then for the black and white I just took the same pictures so that people could see the real difference between them.

Direct Light vs. Indirect Light
For the direct light I made them look straight at the sun so that it would show that light was directly hitting them but it was hard for them to keep there eyes open and looking at the camera. The indirect light I made them stand in front of the sun but this time with their backs towards the sun so it would show indirect light.

Filter vs. No Filter
For this one I made them pose and I took the picture twice and just put filter on one of them so that it'd be easier to see the difference of filter and non-filter.

Busy Background vs. Simple Background
For the busy background I made them stand by the road because a car was passing by for both of them and it would just seem like the background was busy. The simple background was just them posing by the school wall because it was a plain background and nothing was moving so it didn't seem like a busy background.

Eyes On Camera vs. Eyes Off Camera
For the eyes on camera picture I took the picture like a normal one and made them pose. For the eyes off camera I made each of them go somewhere else and made them look away. For the first eyes off camera photo I made him sit on a ledge and took him to look away so it seemed dramatic, and for the second eyes off camera I saw the bush and made her look down at it and I loved how they both came out because they're different.
